The decision to try Nutrisystem came with the news that my oldest son had decided to get married. I was miserable, unhappy and unhealthy at the heaviest weight I had ever been. I steered clear of events, people and family because of my weight. The simple things in life were so embarrassing: getting on an airplane, going to the amusement park, going to a ball game-no one wants to sit next to the heavy person. I’d tried every diet out there; sometimes I would lose some weight, but I always gained it back, plus more. I had 12 months before the wedding, and I really wanted to do this.

I’ve always said that the two most important things in life are health and happiness-and I can truly say that I have both now. My family says I smile all the time. They’re right because I am happy, so happy. Now I can do the simple things in life, like fly on an airplane, without needing special attention. I love experiencing all of these little, “I did it!” moments. Nutrisystem gave me the opportunity to not only lose weight but to find the true me. I can’t say enough about the program.
